01

Booking and payment

Is the website booking instantly confirmed?

No. The form sends a serious availability request. The booking becomes confirmed after the local desk accepts the date, route, boat fit and deposit/payment in writing.

How much deposit do I pay?

The usual deposit is around 30% of the estimated total. The exact amount is shown in the booking flow or written offer before payment.

Can I pay by card?

Yes. Card deposits and payments can be handled through Stripe checkout. Full card numbers are processed by Stripe and are not stored on this website.

Will I get an invoice or receipt?

Yes. Receipts, invoices and fiscalized documents are issued according to Croatian accounting and tax rules when required. Business clients should send company details before the trip or invoice issue.

What happens after I pay the deposit?

You receive a confirmation flow by email or WhatsApp with route, departure point, start time, guest notes and next steps. The desk can still adjust route details for sea conditions.

02

Routes, departures and timing

Where can we start the tour?

Common departure areas are Dubrovnik Old Town / Grad, Gruz, Cavtat, Plat and Mlini. The exact dock is confirmed after the route, boat and sea conditions are checked.

Can the route start from Cavtat, Plat or Mlini?

Yes. Many private tours and taxi boat transfers can start from Cavtat, Plat or Mlini. Pricing and timing may change because the boat and skipper need to be positioned correctly.

Can we change the order of stops?

Yes. Private routes are flexible. The skipper can change stop order to avoid crowds, protect comfort or follow better sea conditions.

What time is best for a private tour?

Morning is usually best for calmer sea and quieter swim stops. Afternoon and sunset routes are better for relaxed pacing, photos and Old Town views from the water.

How early should we arrive?

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before departure. Late arrival can shorten the route because boat, skipper and return timing are reserved around your confirmed window.

03

Weather, safety and guests

What if the weather is bad?

The desk and skipper check local conditions. If safety or comfort is affected, the route, time or date can be adjusted. If the operator cancels for safety and no suitable replacement works, refund handling follows the written confirmation and terms.

Who decides if it is safe to go?

The skipper and operator make the final safety decision. Guest preference matters, but sea safety, wind, port instructions and boat limits come first.

Are tours private or shared?

Routes sold through DUBROVNIK BOAT RIDE are planned as private experiences for your group unless a written offer clearly says otherwise.

Can children join?

Yes, children can join private routes when the boat, route and weather are suitable. Parents or guardians remain responsible for children during the trip.

Do we need to know how to swim?

No, but tell us in advance if someone is not comfortable swimming. The skipper can shape stops around easier boarding, shade, shallower bays or more time on board.

04

Food, comfort and what to bring

Is lunch included?

Lunch is usually separate unless the written offer includes it. The skipper or desk can suggest island restaurants, quiet lunch stops or a simple route that leaves time for dining.

Can we bring drinks and snacks?

Usually yes, as long as the boat stays clean and safe. Tell the desk if you want a celebration setup, cake, champagne or special food planning.

What should we bring?

Bring swimwear, towel, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, a light layer, phone charger/power bank and any medication you may need. Avoid unnecessary luggage on smaller boats.

Can we play music?

Most boats can support relaxed music, but volume must respect safety, skipper instructions, other boats and local areas.

05

Transfers, custom days and cancellations

Can I book only a taxi boat transfer?

Yes. Taxi boat transfers can be arranged for hotels, villas, restaurants, islands, arrivals, departures and sea handoffs from Dubrovnik, Cavtat, Plat or Mlini.

Can you plan proposals, birthdays or corporate days?

Yes. Custom itineraries can include timing around sunset, lunch, private swim stops, land-and-sea coordination, discreet skipper notes and partner boats when needed.

What is the cancellation rule?

Unless your written confirmation says differently, deposits are refundable when the guest cancels at least 72 hours before departure. Inside 72 hours, deposits are normally non-refundable because capacity is reserved.

Can the boat change?

Yes, if needed for safety, availability, guest count, technical reasons or sea conditions. The replacement should match the confirmed service level as closely as possible.

How do I get the fastest answer?

WhatsApp is fastest for same-day questions and pickup details. Email is better for detailed custom routes, business invoices, partners and larger group planning.
