This policy explains how we process personal data when you browse the website, request a private boat tour or sea transfer, pay a deposit, contact us, or apply as a boat partner.

Data we collect

We only ask for data that helps us prepare, confirm and safely deliver the service.

• Identity and contact data: name, email, telephone or WhatsApp number.
• Trip data: route, date, time, departure point, drop-off point, guest count, luggage notes, occasion notes and special requests.
• Partner data: boat details, capacity, license/insurance information, availability and business contact details.
• Payment data: payment status, Stripe checkout identifiers, deposit amount and invoice/receipt information. We do not store full card numbers.
• Technical data: security logs, device/browser information, consent choices and analytics or advertising identifiers where allowed by your cookie choices.

Legal bases and purposes

We process booking and contact data to take steps before entering into a contract and to perform confirmed services. We process invoice, accounting and tax records where required by law.

We may use limited data for legitimate interests such as service quality, fraud prevention, website security, dispute handling and understanding campaign performance. Marketing, analytics and non-essential cookies are used only where consent is required and obtained.

Processors and recipients

Trusted service providers may process data for hosting, database, email delivery, booking workflow, payment processing, analytics, advertising measurement and map/autocomplete features.

Examples may include Stripe for payments, email providers for confirmations, hosting/database providers, Google services such as Maps/Places, Ads or Tag where configured, and WhatsApp when you choose to message us. Public authorities, tax authorities, banks, insurers, legal advisers or accountants may receive data where this is legally required or necessary to protect rights.

Retention

Inquiries that do not become bookings are normally retained for up to 24 months so we can answer follow-ups and improve concierge service.

Confirmed bookings, payment records, invoices, fiscalization/accounting records and complaint correspondence are kept for the period required by Croatian and EU law or while a legal claim may exist. Security logs are kept for a limited period unless needed to investigate misuse.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to processing where available under GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. Requests can be sent to info@dubrovnikboatride.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP) or another competent supervisory authority.

International transfers

Some processors may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or equivalent transfer mechanisms required by GDPR.

Children, safety notes and special data

We do not intentionally collect data from children without a parent or guardian. If you share health, mobility or allergy information for trip safety, we use it only to plan the service and protect guests during the trip.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including controlled access, HTTPS, provider security controls and limited internal access. No online service is completely risk-free, so please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive data in free-text notes.
