These terms apply to private boat tours, sea transfers, custom itineraries, partner boat requests and related concierge communication made through this website, WhatsApp, email or phone.
Booking process
A website form, WhatsApp message or email is a request for availability, not an automatic final confirmation. A booking is confirmed only when we accept the service in writing and the required deposit or payment has been completed where requested.
If details on the website and the written offer differ, the latest written offer or confirmation sent by the operator controls the specific booking.
Prices, inclusions and extras
Prices are shown in EUR and may depend on date, route, sea conditions, departure point, boat category, fuel assumptions, waiting time, port fees, guest count and special requests.
The written offer states what is included. Food, drinks, restaurant bills, entry tickets, docking fees, special pickups, extra waiting time and third-party services are not included unless expressly listed.
Payments, Stripe and invoices
Card payments and deposits may be processed through Stripe or another payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our website.
Invoices, receipts and fiscalized documents are issued according to Croatian accounting and tax rules where required. Business clients must provide correct company details before the service or before the invoice is issued.
Cancellation and withdrawal
Private tours and transfers are dated leisure/transport services prepared for a specific date and time. To the extent allowed by mandatory consumer law, they may be excluded from the standard 14-day distance-contract withdrawal right.
Unless your written confirmation says otherwise, deposits are refundable when the guest cancels at least 72 hours before departure. Inside 72 hours, deposits are non-refundable because boat, skipper and route capacity are reserved. No-show or late arrival that prevents departure is treated as guest cancellation.
Mandatory consumer rights and any stricter written agreement remain unaffected.
Weather, route changes and safety
The skipper, operator or partner provider may change route, start time, boat, pickup point or itinerary when sea conditions, wind, port instructions, technical issues or guest safety require it.
If the operator cancels for safety reasons and no suitable replacement date or route is accepted, the operator will approve a refund of the paid amount for the unavailable service.
Guest responsibilities
Guests must provide accurate contact details, arrive on time, follow skipper instructions, respect safety rules and avoid behavior that endangers people, boat, property or the environment.
- Children remain under the responsibility of parents or guardians.
- Guests must disclose relevant mobility, medical, pregnancy, allergy or luggage information before confirmation.
- Damage caused by guest misconduct, negligence or breach of skipper instructions may be charged to the responsible guest or booking holder.
Partner boats and subcontracted services
Some trips may be operated by carefully selected partner boats or providers. Partners are expected to hold the required permits, insurance and safety equipment for the service they provide.
Where a partner is the direct service provider or merchant, their operational, insurance, fiscal and cancellation rules may also apply. We will keep the guest informed about the provider before confirmation where relevant.
Liability and force majeure
We are not liable for delays or changes caused by weather, sea conditions, port authority instructions, force majeure, public safety restrictions, third-party providers, guest delays or inaccurate information supplied by the guest.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where Croatian or EU law does not allow such limitation.
Complaints and disputes
Please send complaints as soon as possible, preferably within 8 days after the service, to info@dubrovnikboatride.com. Include booking date, name, route and a clear description so we can investigate properly.
Croatian law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules. Competent Croatian authorities or courts may be used where a dispute cannot be resolved directly.
